Updated Site Choice
From our studio session last week I am considering my site choice so that it has a better connection to the pocket park, to consider the public eg. where the shop fronts are facing, how to get the most customers in the restaurant etc. Also consider lighting, how much do I want to knock down, what is the space hierarchy, what is opposite the site and the regulations that follow this.
OPTION 4
Option 4 Pros:
- Better connected to the pocket park
- Shops in the north can be regenerated, more business, restaurant has better connection to the public.
- Access for deliveries etc as the car park is still accessible
Option 4 Cons:
- Removing a total of 28 residences and 5 shops
Option 4 Total (dotted red line) = 2847sqm
OPTION 5
Option 5 Pros:
- Better connected to the pocket park
- Shops in the north can be regenerated
- Less houses have been knocked down
Option 5 Cons:
- Around 1000sqm smaller than option 4
- More difficult accessibility for deliveries
Option 5 Total (dotted red line) = 1720sqm
