Area's to be Considered around the Site

The shops that would be regenerated face onto Choumert Road. Shown below it can be seen they are really run down, dated, worn and give an over all bad look to the area. The shops range from beauty to food from different areas which could make a great asset to the hybrid sustainable housing once updated. The houses above them will also have to be removed, which I counted as 5 residencies so this will need to be added into the dwelling numbers.

To the west of the site, across the road is Thomas Calton Centre which is a family and adults learning centre which offers a range of classes from fashion to CV writing. It is there to help Peckham's older residents gain qualifications and develop their learning.
